Nick Opalich founded HospiceChoice Rx from a deep appreciation for the care and comfort hospice provided his mother and a desire to ensure that quality providers continue to thrive in our communities.
From his many years of experience in pharmacy, Nick knew that hospice agencies needed a partner they could trust to help them manage medication access and utilization, as well as to provide cost savings on medications. He believes that hospices deserve better from their PBMs, which were limiting their choices by tying savings to very rigid formularies and limited pharmacy options. Recognizing these issues, he envisioned a trustworthy partner committed to transparency and ethical practices. With the support of like-minded investors, many with ties to post-acute care, including hospice, he created HospiceChoice Rx as a hospice-only fiduciary PBM. A PBM that is legally and ethically bound to prioritize its customers’ interests above its own, reinforcing our integrity and dedication to stakeholders.
We believe that a hospice’s success comes from its relationships with the communities it serves. Emphasizing the homegrown nature of care fosters trust and shows our commitment to local well-being.
